This olive oil comes from our small family grove on the island of Lesvos, Greece, where around 150 olive trees have been producing fruit for generations. The olives are harvested and taken to the mill within days, then pressed to produce fresh, unfiltered extra virgin olive oil with a naturally rich flavour and aroma.
Unlike many supermarket oils that may be blended or stored for long periods, this oil comes from a single grove and a single harvest. Nothing is added and nothing is removed. It is simply the oil as it comes from the press.
Because the oil is left unfiltered, it retains more of the character and depth that fresh olive oil is known for. The result is a clean, full-bodied oil that works just as well for everyday cooking as it does drizzled over salads, vegetables, bread, or finished dishes.
Production is limited and depends entirely on the yearly harvest. Each batch is packaged in protective tin containers to help preserve freshness and protect the oil from light. When stored at room temperature and away from sunlight, the oil maintains its quality for over two years.
